Senior Spotlight- Spencer Vaughn
Spencer played with the Barons for two years. His favorite memory is hitting a homerun coming off the bench in the state championship!
In high school, he became a member of the National Honors Society. His favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Spencer’s future plans include playing college ball and grind and make it to the league one day. He will attend Georgia Highlands College in the fall to study business. He will be joining the Chargers baseball program.
His teammates share: It’s so cool to see him going on to play college baseball. He’s a great hitter and outfielder and is always supporting his teammates. Georgia Highlands is lucky to have him. And: He’s a great teammate, he’s always working on being a better player, and also helping his fellow teammates as well.
To the younger players he says, “Be yourself and always play hard. When you get your chance show out and always keep your head up.”
