2021 Senior Spotlight- Ian Adams

Ian-at-bat

Ian played with the Barons for his junior and senior years. His favorite memory with the team would have to be just being in the dugout. He said, “The conversations and everything that happens in the dugout feel like you’re talking to a brother- one I do not have . . . ergo four sisters. Another favorite memory would be constantly talking through the game and asking about ways to improve individually in the game.”

Throughout high school, Ian participated in various musical theatre performances in the Atlanta area and has loved writing, recording and producing music.

Comments about Ian include:

  • He would not complain about anything.  He simply did his job and did it to the best of his ability consistently.
  • Watching him grow in Christ as well his baseball career was always enjoyable and made coaching the Barons worth the time and effort

Ian will be attending University of North Georgia, entering as a Junior and obtaining a degree in Film & Media Studies with a Production concentration.

To younger players, Ian says to listen and ask questions not only from coaches, but from your peers. There is no reason in baseball for you to get mad with yourself or your team. You only have to be good 30% of the time and you never know who is watching. Always be respectful and hold integrity on and off the field.

Ians’ favorite scripture is Jeremiah 17:9-10, “The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it? I The Lord search the heart and examine the mind, to reward each person according to their conduct, according to what their deeds deserve.”

Congratulations, Ian!
